Replacing Animal Protein with Plant Protein is Good for Diabetes!

Diets replacing animal with plant protein at ~35% of total protein per day significantly lowered HbA1c , fasting blood sugar, and fasting insulin levels.This meta-analysis pooled data from 13 randomized controlled trials. Plant protein has more fiber, more nutrient density and less fat which all help with glucose control.
